Which court is your case actually in?
A citation written by a city police officer for a city ordinance stays in that city’s municipal court. A state misdemeanor or traffic charge filed with the county Clerk goes to Cherokee County State Court at 90 North Street in Canton. A felony goes to Superior Court at the same address.
And if the person was physically arrested rather than cited, they were taken to the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center at 498 Chattin Drive in Canton — regardless of which city they were arrested in. There is one jail in this county.
